Drain reference
Map the affected fixtures.
- One sink or tub drains slowly
- Several nearby fixtures gurgle or back up
- A toilet bubbles when another fixture drains
- Sewer odor appears near a drain or cleanout
- The same blockage returns after temporary relief
Stop using fixtures during a backup.
Continuing to run water can increase the volume coming back through a low drain. Keep people and pets away from contaminated water and avoid mixing drain chemicals.
Why repeat clogs need context.
Grease, household debris, root intrusion, damaged pipe, poor slope, and an aging line can create similar symptoms. The recurrence pattern and cleanout access help frame the next diagnostic step.
